Cyniscas Share Their Love of the Sport at Serious Cycling and Kimberly Elementary School

What a great way to start out our USA racing block! In addition to racing and riding bikes, the Cyniscas have the honor of sharing our love of the sport with others. Sunday, April 7, several of the Cyniscas and staff rode with a wonderful group of supporters from Serious Cycling shop in Agoura Hills, Calif. at an “Empowering Women in Cycling” event. A heartfelt thank you to Jennifer and Scott Johnson, owners of Serious Cycling and founders of the Ride! Foundation, for organizing the event and to our partners at USA Cycling and Red Truck Cycling for joining us.

The event also served as an unofficial kick-off to the Cynisca Chariot Club. Cycling fans and supporters of women’s sports are joining the club to help more young women advance in the sport.

Next, the riders met about 500 elementary school students at Kimberly Elementary School in Redlands, Calif. to tell them a little about pro cycling and the race in their hometown. Wednesday, April 10, the ladies begin racing for five days at the Redlands Bicycle Classic stage race. We hope to see some new cycling fans there!
