Gretel spent 35 years as a Sales & Marketing executive in the manufacturing industry before retiring in 2026 to enjoy cycling, skiing, and more time with family and friends. She brings a career’s worth of strategic thinking and relationship-building to the Cynisca board, along with a genuine passion for growing cycling as a sport for women.

PROFESSIONAL BACKGROUND:

Gretel built a 35-year Sales & Marketing career in the grocery manufacturing sector, holding VP and EVP roles at McCue Corporation, The Marco Company, and JSI Store Fixtures. As JSI Executive Vice President of Sales & Marketing, she was part of an executive team that grew the company from a small regional manufacturer into a North American market leader before its acquisition by LSI Industries (NASDAQ: LYTS) in 2021. She also served for 10 years as a founding advisory board member of Connecting Point Marketing Group (CPMG), a New Hampshire-based company that produced executive-level, invite-only trade events connecting senior leaders across the foodretail, hospitality, and specialty retail industries. CPMG grew from a startup into a nationally recognized event platform before being acquired by Emerald Expositions in 2017.

Cycling has been life-changing for Gretel — it’s brought her lifelong friendships, incredible travel experiences, and a foundation of fitness she carries into retirement. As a passionate fan of women’s college and professional sports, she jumped at the chance to join forces with Cynisca and help create real opportunities for women in professional cycling.
