The Pathways Fund

Cynisca Cycling Announces Pathways Fund

After building one of the world’s leading women’s continental cycling programs, Cynisca Cycling is reimagining how to support professional women cyclists.

The U.S.-based 501(c)(3) organization is introducing the Pathways Fund, designed to help primarily American, U25 riders reach the highest levels of international racing.

The Pathways program partners with select professional teams to fill open roster positions, providing direct financial and professional support to deserving athletes.

“With so many riders struggling to secure a professional contract, we had to find a new way to make a difference. Once it was clear teams had available roster space and were interested in adding talent, we created the Pathways program to target funding for an immediate and effective impact” said a Cynisca spokesperson.

For the 2026 season, two riders have been placed with a Europe-based, Tour de France-level team, with more cyclists in the pipeline contingent on funding.
“We see the Pathways Fund as a meaningful antidote to the current crisis. By supporting young riders now, we keep dreams alive while working toward a stronger future for women’s cycling.”
