Mat is no stranger to bikes, especially when it comes to the intricacies of how they work and how integral a proper-working bike is to a rider. He started racing in high school and has raced all disciplines (except e-bike!), including a year on the pro circuit in Europe. His current preference is long-distance gravel racing where he has had many wins and podiums.

With a background in industrial engineering and 10+ years experience as a shop mechanic, you could say that Mat likes to “geek out” on the details. Aside from racing bikes as a privateer these days, Mat specializes in custom bike fitting and has been working with cyclists in this arena for more than five years. He was excited to jump on board with the Cynisca team to incorporate his experience and love for cycling!
